(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s footwear export turnover in July reached some US$295 million, an increase of US$27 million compared to the previous month, according to the provincial Statistic Department.
The increase contributed to the figure in Jan-July period close to US$1.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of over 20%.
Footwear is the biggest export commodity of Dong Nai in the recent three years. Major markets included the US and European countries.
The footwear sector is expected to enjoy high growth, as so far, many firms have won orders until the end of next year. Local major footwear producers have strongly expanded their operation in a bid to fully tap potential offered by international integration.
