(ĐN)- A ceremony was held on July 29 to announce the designation of geographical indication for Long Khanh rambutan in Long Khanh town.
Dong Nai province has now over 11,000 hectares of land under rambutan cultivation.The designation was given to nhan and troc rambutan grown, preserved and packaged in Long Khanh Town, Xuan Loc, Thong Nhat and Cam My districts.
These localities,have specific characteristics including geography, climate and soil which have created the specific quality of Long Khanh rambutan.
The granting of protection under geographical indication for Long Khánh rambutan by the National Office of Intellectual Property offered a chance to popularize brand name for Long Khanh rambutan as well as create stable consumption for its products.
