Anh Duong Vietnam Joint Stock Company, better known as Vinasun, has got the go-ahead from the Ministry of Transport to launch a new taxi-hailing app similar to that of GrabTaxi already available on the market.
Ta Long Hy, deputy general manager of Vinasun, said 200 Camry and Fortuner cars would be used for the new V.CAR service in the initial time with the same fares as those for normal taxi services. Hy said Vinasun plans to increase the number of V.CAR cars to 500-700.
Customers are advised to install the Vinasun App on their smartphones to hail V.CAR cabs. Passengers will know fares when a request is sent and data about their trips will be saved to help them easily contact and find any lost belongings.
Vinasun App users can hail both normal and V.CAR cabs. Passengers can also call a V.CAR car by phone as well.
