(ĐN)- As of late June, Tan Phu district has grown nearly 6,000 hectares of plants in summer-fall crop, representing over 74 percent of the year’s target.
Notably, the district has formed concentrated cultivation areas for rice, corn, vegetables, etc. Most of the cultivation areas are being applied science-technology, new varieties into production.
Tan Phu is concentrating in shifting its plant cultivation from rice to corn, vegetables which help them get higher profits. Accordingly, cultivation areas for vegetables have been set up in the district’s communes of Phu Lam, Phu Thanh and Phu Xuan with total area of around 1,200 hectares.
These cultivation areas have accessed VietGap procedures of safety vegetables cultivation. Some of them have been applied the model of growing vegetables under net houses and installed semi-automatic watering system.
