(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Chanh on April 20 had a working session with HCM city-based Global Regenerated Energy JS Company on the project of developing a waste treatment complex to generate electricity.

The company suggested the province to approve the deployment of project of building solid waste treatment plant to generate power in the province.

The company will need an area of around 20 hectares to implement the project with total investment capital of more than VND1.3 trillion and will prepare the feasibility study for the project if they get approval from relevant authorities.

When completed, the plant is expected to treat around 1,200 tons of daily solid waste to produce about 400-450 KW of electricity on a ton of waste under Vietnamese technology that can treat many types of miscellaneous waste with high humidity.

The company is currently successful in its investment in a waste-to-power plant in Ha Nam province.

Speaking at the session, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Chanh stressed that Dong Nai will send a delegation for fact-finding visit at the waste-to-power plant in Ha Nam province. If the technology is suitable, Dong Nai will make approval for the implementation of the project as the company’s price for waste treatment is much cheaper than other waste treatment companies in Dong Nai.
