(ĐN)- A conference was held Binh Duong province on Friday to review the patriotic movements of Southeastern region's emulation group in 2015 and sign mutual agreement on emulation in 2016.
Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai attended the event.
Last year, seven provinces in the region, including Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan, continued to maintain high economic growth along with local people’s lives incessantly increased.
Accordingly, total budget collection reached nearly VND180 trillion while export turnover was estimated at more than US$43 billion. In addition, the provinces lured over US$5 billion in FDI. Particularly, Dong Nai and Binh Duong are leading the region in attracting foreign investment. Dong Nai also leads the region in new rural area construction.
At the conference, representatives from seven provinces were unanimously Tay Ninh as the leading locality in the emulation campaigns of the group in 2015, followed by Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong.
Binh Phuoc province was selected to be head of the emulation group in 2016.
