Footwear is the biggest export commodity of Dong Nai, and it is also enjoyed highest trade surplus of nearly US$2 billion. The province is one of 3 biggest footwear exporting localities in the country. Major markets included the US and European countries.
According to footwear producers in Dong Nai, they gave priorities in buying raw materials in the country due to the variety of the local materials in order to enjoy preferential tariffs for exporting to countries Vietnam had signed free trade agreements.
