(ĐN)- A meeting was held on December 22 in Dong Nai to evaluate the construction of new rural areas in the province.
Accordingly, Dong Nai recognized another 13 communes and 2 districts, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach, as new-style rural areas in 2015, raising the number of new developed communes and districts to 91 and 5, respectively.
So far, 11 out of 13 communes in Long Thanh and 10 out of 12 communes in Nhon Trach district completed all criteria for new-style rural areas.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of the provincial People’s Committee urged Long Thanh and Nhon Trach to complete their documents before December 31 to submit to the Prime Minister for approval. He also suggested the districts to continue to rally resources to meet criteria on schooling, markets and health and environment, among others.
