(ĐN) Vice Chairman Tran Minh Phuc of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee on Nov 24 chaired a meeting with Cam My district’s authorities on overall development planning for the locality through 2020, with a vision towards 2025.
During the 2011 -2014 period, Cam My placed particular emphasis on the service, industry and agriculture sectors, with the services industry seeing the fastest rate of growth. Accordingly, the service sector retained a growth rate of 15 per cent per year, from VND840 billion in 2010 to VND1,500 billion in 2014.
Currently, the yearly average income of local farmers is approximately VND37 million, a year-on-year increase of 17 percent, driving down the household poverty rate to 1.4 percent from 14 percent in 2010.
Cam My district plans to bring average per capital income in the district to VND67 million and reach an average growth of 14 percent by 2020.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Tran Minh Phuc asked local authorities to work out detailed solutions to develop the district’s potential in agriculture and service, contributing to raise income for local people
