(ĐN)- In Jan-Nov, Dong Nai’s export revenue is estimated at US$13.1 billion, an increase of 9.4 percent against the previous year. The figure is expected to reach more than US$14 billion this year, according to Dong Nai Statistics Department.

Footwear, textile and garment, timber and timber products are among top commodities that made significant contribution to the result.

Dong Nai’s footwear, textile and garment, timber and timber products exports are expected to enjoy a successful year as eleven-month turnover hit US$6.1 billion, accounting for some 46% of total exports.

Particularly, Dong Nai earned US$2.35 billion from footwear exports in the first 11 months of this year, up 16 percent compared to the same period last year - the highest growth recorded thus far.

The province is now listed among the five largest footwear exporters in the country. Presently, many footwear enterprises have received enough orders to keep them busy until the end of the first quarter of next year. Some large businesses have even received orders for 2017.

The positive signs along with new business opportunities are expected to help the sector exceed its export turnover target in 2015.

Textile and garment sector is also estimated to enjoy high growth this year, as so far, many firms have won orders till the second quarter of 2016.

During the first 11 months of this year, the US, EU, Japan and the Republic of Korea were the largest export market of local textile and garment products.

2015 is a good year for timber exports with total export earnings hitting over US$1.12, a 20 percent rise compared with the same time last year.

Three largest export markets of the province’s wooden products were the US, Japan, and Korea.
