The price adjustment took effect at 15:00 on November 18 and applies to RON 92 petrol and E5 biofuel. The price of mazut also went down by VND83 per kilogram.
Diesel remained unchanged while kerosene rose by VND124 per litre.
The latest adjustment made petrol prices around VND700 cheaper than at the start of the year and diesel nearly VND5,000 lower.
According to the two ministries, over the past two weeks the average price of RON 92 petrol on the world market fell by US$1 per barrel to US$57.49, while that of diesel dropped by US$2.
