Bien Hoa-Tan Thanh-Cai Mep Expressway's construction under proposal

The Project Management Board 85 has presented to the Ministry of Transport a proposal on construction of Bien Hoa-Tan Thanh-Cai Mep Seaport expressway in the southern provinces of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Dong Nai.

The project aims to develop traffic infrastructure in the southern key economic zone including Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc and Long An, where has posted the fastest economic growth rate in Vietnam.

The 46.8 kilometer expressway, part of Bien Hoa-Dong Nai Highway, has a total investment capital of about VND13.1 trillion (US$585.83 million) which will be mobilized from private investors.

Construction is expected to complete within 24 months beginning December next year. The project comprises seven bridges, three intersections and 12 flyovers.
