As many as 157 businesses in Dong Nai Province which were on the list of causing environmental pollution have invested more than VND1.5 trillion ($66.9 million) to reduce pollution since 2009, according to the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

The applied methods include building sewage and exhaust treatment systems as well as managing normal and dangerous solid wastes.
The province in 2009 released the list of 157 local companies that caused environmental pollution together with documents guiding them to implement remedies, then conducted annual inspections.
As of now, 143 businesses of that list have been testified to satisfy the environmental protection regulations.
