(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology has presented the “Xuan Loc pepper” brand name registration certificate to XuanTho Pepper Cooperative operating in Xuan Loc district.
Xuan Loc is leading Dong Nai province on the pepper cultivation land, covering an area of 3,000 hectares. Pepper is mainly grown in the district communes of Xuan Tho, Xuan Truong and Suoi Cao. With about 2,000 hectares of pepper growing area under harvest, the district supplies around 6,000 tons of black pepper to the market every year.
According to the evaluation, pepper grown at Xuan Loc has high quality and it is big, firm and has also specific spicy flavor. However, it was sold at par prices with pepper grown in other localities due to the pepper hasn’t been granted brand name certificate.
The grant of brand name certificate will helps bring great opportunities to Xuan Loc pepper on the domestic market as well as the global market in the coming time.
