(ĐN)- Over the past five years, Dong Nai has made efforts to diversity the types of services, including trade, transport, health, finance, insurance, bank, tourist and entertainment.

In 2011-2015 period, the province has taken measures to enhance the efficiency of the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods,". Particularly, Dong Nai has cooperated with other local relevant agencies to organize 179 market-days to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, 39 Vietnamese goods fairs, 40 seminars and training courses for local businesses, sent 300 enterprises to international fairs and 13 trade promotion delegations to foreign countries, launched an e-commerce portal.

By the end of August, Vingroup inaugurated Vincom Bien Hoa shopping center at intersection of Pham Van Thuan and Phan Trung streets in Bien Hoa city.

Earlier, Big C, Vinatex Mart, Co.op Mark, Cho Lon Electronics Supermarket, De Nhat Phan Khang Shopping Center, Nguyen Kim, Lotte Mart and Metro, etc were also present in Dong Nai.

Besides, large trade corporations from the U.S, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Italy have recently visited Dong Nai to seek investment opportunities.

Dong Nai has established connection with several US groups in retail and marketing industries, such as Target and Made in USA Works, to not only gain more access for its goods to the US market but also cut costs from middlemen.

Accordingly, Dong Nai Business Association and Made in USA Works have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for their cooperation. Chris Neeley from Made in USA Works hoped that local enterprises would produce high-quality goods at reasonable cost and with higher productivity in order to make inroad into the US market. 

The value of retail sales and services enjoyed an annual growth of 17% per year in 2011-2015. During the last five years, the province built additional 19 markets, bringing total number of traditional markets to 166.
