According to farmers, the price has fallen by half from last year to VND15,000 (66 US cents) per kilogramme, the lowest in the last two years.
In recent years, since the market was steady, Xuan Loc District encouraged farmers to grow the fruit instead of other low-profit crops.
The fruit is grown on around 300ha there, mainly in the communes of Xuan Hung, Xuan Tam and Suoi Cat.
