(ĐN) - Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee on Sept 22 had a working session with SOL Holdings Corp and Dong Nai Biotechnology Centre on trial crops of high potential super sorghum variety in the province.
Super sorghum is currently being cultivated on 50 hectares on a trial basis at the Dong Nai Biotechnology Centre and the districts of Xuan Loc, Cam My and Nhon Trach and showing good results.
In 2016, additional 1,000 hectares of super sorghum will be grown in the province. Super sorghum can be harvested three times a year with the first reaping only 40 days after sowing.
Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman asked the center to make more efforts to create favourable conditions for the enterprise to fulfill its crop, aiming to encourage hi-tech and sustainable agriculture development.
