(ĐN) - On August 18, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee had a working session with Amata Corp’s representatives on their projects in Long Thanh district.
As known, Amata has been granted an investment certificate to construct hi-tech industrial park in Long Thanh district by the end of June. The US$282 million project covering 410 hectares is expected to transform local lands into a modern, international-level IP that will boost the district’s socio-economic development.
The hi-tech park is the second project of the Thai group in Dong Nai. The first is Amata industrial park in Bien Hoa city, where more than 120 foreign direct investment firms have operated.
Besides, Amata Viet Nam Public Limited is investing a 753ha urban development project in the district's Tam An commune.
Meanwhile, an urban development project spreading over 122 hectares will be developed by Amata's affiliates, Amata VN and Amata VN Public Limited, in Tam An and An Phuoc communes in Long Thanh district.
The investors are now working with the district’s authorities to measure the land and develop planning documents for the projects.
President Somhatai Panichewa of Amata Vietnam J.S Company hoped that two urban development projects will be approved soon and local authorities would help the investors in getting land clearance and giving compensation.
Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai also spoke highly of the contributions that the wholly Thai-invested Amata VN has made to the province in the past 20 years while asking the company to enhance their efforts to implement the hi-tech IP project on schedule.
