(ĐN)- On July 30, Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee had a working session with the sector of agriculture and rural development to discuss tasks in the last half of 2015.
In the first half of the year, Dong Nai reached over VND13 trillion in agriculture, forestry and fishery value, up 3.76% against the same period of last year. Particularly, the agricultural production value achieved more than VND11.6 trillion, the forestry was over VND900 billion, and the fishery, VND110 billion. Among these, the animal breeding sector saw the highest growth
So far, 63 of Dong Nai’s 133 communes have met countryside development criteria.
For the rest of this year, Dong Nai strives to add 25 communes to the list, raising the number of new developed communes to 88.
At the working session, Vice Chairman asked the sector to enhance its competitiveness in order to stand ready for future competition in the agriculture sector.
