In the next five years, Bien Hoa city is expected to be upgraded to the 1st-grade urban area, which will become a developed area in the development system of Southeastern region and Southern economic hub, with the population from 1 to 1.2 million people.
Meanwhile, Nhon Trach district will be upgraded to 2nd-grade urban area and Nhon Trach city with population scale of 500,000-600,000 people. Long Khanh town will become 3rd-grade urban area in 2020 and will be home to 170,000-180,0000 inhabitants.
Long Thanh and Trang Bom district will be upgraded to towns, in which Long Thanh will attract around 70,000-80,000 inhabitants, while Trang Bom will become an urban area which will be home to 80,000-90,000 people.
