The higher profits were due to the members of the cooperative had adopted new farming techniques to increase mango yield to 30 tonnes per hectares, 6-8 tonnes higher than the province’s average productivity.
In addition, the farmers have made mango trees to bear fruit much ahead of the normal bearing season, with The mangoes are sold VND10,000 higher than those in the normal bearing season.
