(ĐN)- The pepper prices in Dong Nai reached their highest level ever, according to pepper producers in Trang Bom and Xuan Loc district. The latest price is around VND240,000 a kilogram for black pepper and some VND400,000 a kilogram for white pepper.
The sharp rise was due to the increasing pepper demand in the global market.
Dong Nai is now ranked third in the country in the area under pepper cultivation. Its pepper is priced VND10,000-20,000 per kilogram higher than those of other provinces due to its superior quality.
