In the period, Dong Nai’s peppercorn received a high price of some US$9,700 per tonne.
Black pepper is currently sold at VND190,000-194,000 a kilogram. The sharp rise was due to the increasing pepper demand in the global market.
Dong Nai is one of the largest pepper growing provinces in the country, with pepper plantation area at 10,000 hectares.
