(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai provincial Veterinary Department, the province's chicken population has reached more than 13 million heads, over 1 million higher the same period in 2014.
Over 80% of the chickens are being raised under concentrated farm model in which epidemic diseases spread can be controlled.
Presently, farmers in the province supply nearly 84,000 live chickens every day to the market. The main markets of Dong Nai’s chickens are Ho Chi Minh city and neighboring provinces, accounting of 60% of the total live chickens sold every day.
Most of the chickens in Dong Nai are being raised in Thong Nhat and Trang Bom districts.
