The locality has so far developed 683 farms, including around 500 pig farms.
In 2014, Lifsap project provided financial support to local breeders to build 130 biogas plants and a concentrated slaughter house.
Presently, more than 100 pig breeders in Thong Nhat district applied VietGAP food safety standards on their farms, double the figure reported in 2013.
