India to provide financial support for sustainable livestock development

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee had a working session with representatives of HCM city-based SGS Company and Mr Aru David- Director in charge of Vietnam and Laos of ASSIST on the project to promote sustainable livestock production and consumption.

 

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee had a working session with representatives of HCM city-based SGS Company and Mr Aru David- Director in charge of Vietnam and Laos of ASSIST on the project to promote sustainable livestock production and consumption.

The project is funded by ASSIST, a non-government organization operating in the agricultural sector, with the aim to help under-developed countries to invest in agriculture with sustainable orientation with the total capital of 19.6 million Euros. According, Vietnam and Laos each will receive financial support from 0.8-2.5 million Euros.

The main beneficiaries of the projects are intermediary trading organizations and networks; non-profit organizations with sustainable development orientation, Government agencies and local authorities. Of which, priorities will be given to SMEs and farmers.

Those who meet the requirements could register to join the project from now to February 9.

 ASSIST has funded for many projects on sustainable agriculture development in Vietnam and the other under-developed countries with the orientation to reduce the environment pollution impact and effectively use the sources.
