(ĐN)- The life-line expressway in the Southeastern region connecting Bien Hoa city in Dong Nai province with Ba Ria-Vung Tau province’s Vung Tau city will call for investment in the form of BOT (build-operate-transfer) or PPP (Public Private Partnership).
According to the proposal from the Project Management Unit 85 (PMU 85), the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau expressway will have a total length of 77.6 km with four lanes. The investment plan for this phase has been completed.
In order to put the expressway into operation by 2018, the project needs to be approved for investment as well as to be completed the procedures of technical design, construction bidding and site clearance before December 2015.
As known, Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway will be developed at an estimated cost of VND22 trillion in the Southern Key Economic Zone, which is the nation’s fastest growing region and home to a number of key infrastructure projects including Cai Mep-Thi Vai deep seaport complex in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and the planned Long Thanh International Airport in Dong Nai province.
