Xuan Loc and Long Khanh meet criteria for new rural areas

(ĐN)- A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam had a working session to Dong Nai on December 9-10 to evaluate the construction of new rural areas.

During the visit, the delegation visited Long Khanh town and Xuan Loc districts where are striving to become first new rural localities nationwide.

Presently, all communes in Long Khanh town and 13 out of 14 communes in Xuan Loc district completed all criteria for new-style rural areas.

Annual average per capita income in Long Khanh and Xuan Loc is VND38.6 million and VND37.6 million, respectively.

Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam highly appreciated efforts made by Dong Nai in mobilizing all sources to participate in the construction of new-style rural areas. He also stressed that the province should focus on developing high-tech agriculture in order to raise its value of agricultural production, increase income for local farmers.
