The meeting was attended by Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman Tran Van Tu of People’s Council, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of People’s Committee and leaders of departments, agencies and localities.

According to Department of Finance, the province’s total budget collection this year is estimated at nearly VND36.6 trillion, a 11 percent year-on-year increase.
Of the total, domestic collections accounted for some VND21 trillion, import-export taxes were around VND13.5 trillion, and lottery over VND1.3 trillion.
In 2014, Dong Nai has fulfilled and exceeded almost all socio-economic yearly targets, despite negative impacts from the prolonged financial crisis and economic downturn worldwide.
The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) rose by more than 11 percent to approximately VND168 trillion and GRDP per capita reached VND59.5 million.
Accordingly, the industry-construction sector increased 12%, services up 14%, agriculture - forestry - fishery sector up 3.3%.
The province also reported a total of nearly VND48 trillion in social development investment capital.

Presently, Dong Nai province is leading nationwide in terms of meeting criteria on new rural area construction. It is also one of five localities with the highest growth rate in the country.
In 2015, the province will continue with measures to stabilize the economy and maintain stable growth. Accordingly, it will strive to raise GDP per capita to VND64 million and budget revenue to nearly VND40 trillion next year.
