(ĐN)- Tran Quan, a farmer in Xuan Loc district’s Xuan Phu commune, is planting three ha of new varieties of rice, named RVT, on his crop.
He expects to harvest 7 tonnes per hectare in the high-quality rice farming areas, up 2 tonnes/ha compared to traditional rice cultivation.
Quan is planning to increase his high quality rice fields in the coming time and encourage local farmers to develop new rice varieties across the locality.
As known, the new rice varieties have high quality and yield potential and resistance to pests and diseases.
