The province is now home to 11 urban zones, including a first-grade urban area (Bien Hoa city), two third-grade (Long Khanh and Nhon Trach), a fourth-grade (Trang Bom) and seven fifth-grade (Long Thanh, Dau Giay, Gia Ray, Long Giao, Vinh An, Dinh Quan and Tan Phu).
According to the program approved by the provincial People’s Committee, until 2020, Dong Nai will strive to have a first-grade urban area, a second-grade, a third-grade, two fourth-grade and six fifth-grade urban zones. In the next ten years, the figures will rise to 17.
