(ĐN)- On November 19, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Huu Chi had a working session with Dong Nai on constructing new rural areas in the locality.
Over the past five years, Dong Nai has allocated more than VND29.7 trillion to the new rural area building programme, focusing on infrastructure construction and rural economic development.
So far, 37 communes have achieved all the 19 of the program’s criteria, many of which are in Xuan Loc district and Long Khanh town. The province aims to have 46 communes fulfill all the requirements by 2014.
Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister highly appreciated achievements obtained by Dong Nai in building new-style rural areas and stressed that further efforts should be made to increase income for farmers.
