(ĐN)- Dong Nai remains the country’s third-biggest receiver of foreign direct investment (FDI), with US$1.17 billion being poured into the locality in the first nine months of 2014.
The province’s FDI attraction ranked third after Bac Ninh province (US$1.365 billion) and HCM city (US$1.283 billion). It is followed by Binh Duong and Ha Noi, which are listed fourth and fifth.
Vietnam attracted US$11.18 billion FDI in the Jan-Sept period, or 74.5 percent of FDI in the same period last year. The manufacturing and processing sector absorbed the largest share of FDI, reaching US$7.7 billion USD or 68.9 percent of the nation's total registered capital.
The biggest project included Samsung Display Bac Ninh Company's US$1-billion plant.
