(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s 7.6% export revenue rise in August versus the month before led to a trade surplus of nearly US$107 million in the first eight months of this year, according to the Department of Industry and Trade.
Updated figures of the department showed the province posted total export revenue of over US$8.1 billion and spent less than US$8 billion on imports in the January-August period.
The trade surplus was credited to strong export growth in major products in Jan-Aug, with footwear up around 11%, textile-garment up 9.6%, wood and wooden products up 8.2%, etc.
The province’s products were mainly exported to the US, Japan, South Korea, Canada and UK. In this period, coffee and cashew nut exports also increased significantly in both volume and quality.
