The ceremony was attended by Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of People’s Committee (PC) and Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh of PC.
The 8.4ha project is divided into three stages between 2013 and 2022 at a total investment of around VND3.2 trillion.

The first stage of the project, from 2013-2016, will cost VND416 billion and consist of building embankments and roads along the river, green park, developing the infrastructure and improving the environment.
The second stage will be carried out between 2016 and 2019 and focus on constructing trade centres, offices and shopping areas along with upgrading and embellishing riverside cultural and historical sites.
