(ĐN)- The exports of animal feed and animal-feed raw materials from Dong Nai saw a sharp increase in the first seven months of the year.
Over the past two years, the province’s exporters expanded trade promotions in both traditional and new markets, especially difficult markets like the US, the Republic of Korea, and Japan.
Since the beginning of the year, local enterprises have exported animal feed and raw materials to more than 10 markets.
Between January and the middle of July, Vietnam also exported some US$230 million of animal feed and animal-feed raw materials. During this period, China was the largest importer of the country's animal feed and raw materials with an import value of over US$62.3 million, followed by Cambodia with around US$46 million, Malaysia with more than US$26 million, Japan (approximately US$20 million), Korea (US$18 million), India (US$9), Bangladesh (US$1.8 million), Thailand (US$1.4 million) and the U.S (US$800,000).
Vietnam’s animal feed products are being exported to 13 countries nationwide, mostly in Asia.
The US was the only market outside Asia that imported Vietnam's animal feed and raw materials.
