The country saw 6,078 newly-established enterprises in June with a total registered capital of VND57.3 trillion, a 10.7% rise in the number of new enterprises and an 89.6% increase in capital compared to the previous month, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

The country saw 6,078 newly-established enterprises in June with a total registered capital of VND57.3 trillion, a 10.7% rise in the number of new enterprises and an 89.6% increase in capital compared to the previous month, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
According to GSO, this month, 6,369 enterprises suspended operations and were dissolved, a 5.1% decrease against May. Of this, 966 enterprises temporarily halted operations with registration and 4,554 businesses suspended their operation to wait for payment of enterprise code or without registration. In June, 849 businesses were dissolved.
Totaling the first six months of this year, up to 37,315 new enterprises were formed with a total registered capital of VND230.9 trillion.
The number of newly-established enterprises saw a year-on-year reduction of 4.1% while the registered capital surged by 19.3% against the same period last year.
Besides, the number of businesses experiencing difficulties at a level forcing dissolution or suspending operations were 33,454, a year-on-year rise of 16.3%.
