(ĐN)- Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of the provincial People’s Committee on June 4 had a working session with Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review the activities of the agricultural sector in the first six months.
Since the beginning this year, the province’s agro-forestry-fisheries production value has been estimated at more than VND12,579 billion, up 3.5% against the same period last year.
Particularly, agricultural production value saw the highest growth with more than VND11,600 billion while those of fisheries with over VND866.5 million and forestry, nearly 109 million.
Over the past time, many successful models of agricultural production and management have been employed, bringing about positive initial results in agricultural production and increased income for farmers.
Speaking at the session, Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh stressed that the province’ agriculture sector should focus on restructuring agricultural production, and strengthening linkage chain between farmers and businesses in agricultural production and consumption.
