Over the past 10 years, Dong Nai has invested to build 64 markets with the total cost of VND730 billion, bringing the total markets in the province to 167.
The system of markets has contributed to the promotion of production development, implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese give priority to use Vietnamese commodities”, as well as better serve the shopping demand of the local people.
To improve the effect of the markets, Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh suggested the localities in the province should manage the local markets in the cooperative model as well as made drastic measures to deal with spontaneous markets which lack food hygiene and safety.
