Dong Nai focuses on developing services for foreign investors

(ĐN)- Vice Chairwoman Phan Thi My Thanh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee on Tuesday had a working session with Taiwanese, Korean and Japanese business associations to discuss solutions to remove difficulties in their trade and production activities.

So far, the province has attracted nearly 1,400 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of more than US$24.5 billion.

Of which, there are 1,089 valid FDI projects in Dong Nai with total registered capital of more than US$20.4 billion.

Dong Nai has 27 operating industrial parks, creating jobs for nearly 500.000 laborers. It is home to more than 5,000 foreign experts from 40 countries and territories.

Presently, the province’s service system still doesn’t meet their demand. Almost foreign experts are living in HCM city that they need much time for traveling to the enterprises.

At the working session, representatives of the associations expressed their interest in issues of traveling, accommodation and related services, especially education and healthcare.

They also acclaimed the province’s policy to develop the service system for foreign investors.
