(ĐN)– Dong Nai Department of Customs on April 1 held a solemn ceremony to celebrate its 20th founding anniversary and receive the third grade Independence Medal.
The event was attended by Vice Minister of Finance Do Hoang Anh Tuan, Secretary of Dong Nai province’s Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai.

The Prime Minister on April 1, 1994 signed Decision setting up Dong Nai Department of Customs with 15 members. At present, the figure is more than 400 members.
Dong Nai Customs collected US$136 billion worth of import-export taxes as of end 2013. Accordingly, the last year’s revenue from import-export taxes surged by 52 times compared to 1994.
The department has so far expanded e-customs procedures for its all branches in the province and 97% of local enterprises implemented e-customs clearance procedures.
In 2013, the department’s budget collection reached over VND13 trillion, ranking 6th nationwide, fulfilling 102% of the target.
