(ĐN)- On April 23, Dong Nai Customs put the Vietnam Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System/Vietnam Customs Information System (VNACCS/VCIS) into operation at the customs branches of Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Long Binh Tan, Thong Nhat and Long Binh,Long Binh Tan and Binh Thuan processing zones.
Head of Dong Nai Customs Le Van Danh said that before putting the system into use, the department had well prepared the training for customs staff as well as the facilities for the branches, and thanks to the direct support from the Vietnam Customs' officers and the sofware companies to the customers, the declaration on VNACCS/VCIS took place smoothly.
Earlier, on April 14, the system had been carried out at Bien Hoa Customs Branch.
The e-customs system is able to deal with declarations within three seconds, aims to realise the development strategy in the field to 2020 and the plan reforming and modernising customs between 2011 and 2015.
VNACCS/VCIS, worth nearly 2.7 billion JPY (21.2 million USD) funded by the Japanese Government, is scheduled to be fully applied across Vietnam from June 1.
