Viet Nam’s wood furniture is exported to nearly 40 markets all over the world. The US is the largest importer with US$186.67 million in January, accounting for 30% of the total and up 1.9%.
China ranked second with US$90.56 million, up 60.3%, followed by Japan with US$67.76 million.
In 2013, Viet Nam earned US$5.37 billion from exporting wood furniture, up 15.2%.
The Viet Nam Timber and Forest Product Association (VIFORES) revealed that the sector sets to raise export turnover to US$6-6.2 billion this year.
