So far, Dong Nai has established three pilot zones for good husbandry practices in Long Khanh town, Xuan Loc and Thong Nhat districts comprising 52 groups and 1,047 households under the good husbandry practices.

The province is the only locality in the country of which World Bank continues supporting the development of pilot livestock planning zones (LPZ) and providing assistance households in the LPZ under good animal husbandry practice (GAHP) model.

The project also funded to 25 build fresh food areas at markets, many biogas tanks and concentrated slaughter-houses.

The World Bank-funded Lifsap was implemented in the province from 2010 with the aim to achieve increased production efficiency of household producers, reduce negative environmental impact by supporting livestock producers, markets and slaughterhouses to meet environmental standards, and improved food safety by supporting slaughterhouses and meat markets to operate at national hygienic standards.
