(ĐN)- A section of new Hoa An bridge and steel flyover at the Vung Tau intersection were opened to traffic on January 19.
The opening ceremonies were attended by Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong, Chairman Tran Van Tu of the provincial People’s Council and Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of the provincial People’s Committee.
The new section of Hoa An Bridge are over 1km long, 9.5m wide with two lanes and is built under the Built-Transfer (BT) form with the total cost of over VND1 trillion, linking Nguyen Ai Quoc road in Bien Hoa city with the neighboring Binh Duong province. The whole bridge is expected to be completed in December.
Meanwhile, the 558m long, 16 m wide, four-lane overpass is part of an investment project building the new Dong Nai Bridge in form of a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) contract.
The two projects will help clear traffic jam and prevent accidents at the gateway to the southern economic hubs as well as serve local people travelling, especially during the Tet celebrations.
As known, the Ministry of Transport has approved the two plans building two steel flyovers at Tam Hiep and Amata intersections in Bien Hoa city to reduce traffic jam and prevent accidents.
