(ĐN)- More than 230 million kWh of electricity has been saved in 2013, representing a saving rate of 2.7% of the total supplied electricity output and 130% of the year’s plan, according to Dong Nai Power Company (DNPC).
Of that amount, State agencies and offices saved over 10.3 million kWh; the public lighting sector, more than 17 million kWh; the household, over 46.6 million kWh and the industrial sector, 156.6 million kWh .
In 2013, DNPC organized programs and knowledge contests to enhance public awareness on efficient electricity use and electricity saving.
Thanks to raised public awareness, many industrial producers in the province have taken the initiative to implement power saving measures, made reasonable production plans, reduced the use of machines that consume large amounts of electricity during peak electricity tariff periods.
