Japan's LIXIL Corp opens its US$440 mil factory in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Japan's LIXIL Corp, a global leader in building materials and housing equipment,yesterday inaugurated its building material manufacturing plant in Long Thanh district's Long Duc Industrial Park.

(ĐN)- Japan’s LIXIL Corp, a global leader in building materials and housing equipment,yesterday inaugurated its building material manufacturing plant in Long Thanh district’s Long Duc Industrial Park.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai and Japanese Consul General in HCMC Harumitsu Hida.

The factory is built on 55 hectares with investment capital of more than US$440 million, manufactures resin and aluminum products, including sashes, door and window frames, and roofs.

It is the Lixil Corporation's largest project in Viet Nam and Japan's biggest project in Dong Nai province and is expected to create around 2,000 jobs for local people.

LIXIL Corp now possesses many famous trade names in the field of construction, such as Inax, Tostem, Sun Wave, Toex and Shin-Nikkei.

Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai said that the number of Japanese investors registered to operate in the province has increased in recent years.

In 2013, the money Japanese investors poured into Dong Nai accounted for 30 percent of more than US$1.6 billion in foreign direct investment of the province. 

He affirmed that Dong Nai will make the best conditions for investors to do effective business in the locality.
