(ĐN)- A concentrated slaughterhouse was inaugurated and put into operation in Long Thanh district’s Long An commune yesterday.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of the provincial People’s Committee.
The house is built on an area of 1,200 sq.m at a total investment of around VND12 billion, of which more than VND6.3 billion donated by Lifsap. It has a capacity of slaughtering 150 pigs per hour.
It is the first concentrated slaughterhouse in Long Thanh district and the fourth in Dong Nai province after three slaughtering houses in Long Khanh town, Cam My and Xuan Loc districts.
The slaughterhouse is expected to help reduce illegal slaughtering activities and supply clean meat for the province.
