The new rural communes included Xuan Phu, Xuan Dinh, Xuan Hiep, Suoi Cao, Bao Hoa, Suoi Cat and Xuan Tho in Xuan Loc district; Suoi Tre, Hang Gon, Xuan Tan, Binh Loc and Xuan Lap in Long Khanh town; Long Tho in Nhon Trach district; Trang Bom district’s Thanh Binh commune and An Phuoc commune in Long Thanh district.
Dong Nai has implemented new rural construction since 2008 and is one of the first localities in the country to deploy the program.
Within the two years from 2012 to 2013, Dong Nai has mobilized more than VND16 trillion for the building of new rural areas.
As a result, the production value per a hectare of farming land has increased from VND41.5 million in 2009 to VND87 million at the end of 2013, the average income per capita has risen by 18% since late 2013, and the province has lowered the rate of poor families to 2%.
