Newly-appointed Gyeongnam province's Governor visits Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee on December 12 received Mr Hong Joon Pyu, newly-appointed Gyeongnam province's Governor of the Republic of Korea (RoK), who paid a working visit to Dong Nai.

Presently, RoK is one of the largest foreign investors in the province, especially, Gyeongnam is twinned with Dong Nai. The newly-appointed Governor’s visit will promote the cooperative relations between the two provinces.

The Governor highly appreciated the potential economic development of Dong Nai and expressed his wish to increase investment in the province, focusing in the fields of Gyeongnam’s strength such as aeronautics and space, mechanics, shipbuilding industry, electronics, etc.

Governor Hong Joon Pyu stressed that Gyeongnam leads the RoK in exporting farm products with safe manufacturing procedures, adding the province will support Dong Nai to train human resources; exchange techniques to help Dong Nai develop agricultural industry on the safety and modern orientations.

Gyeongnam is now home to about 10,000 Vietnamese brides and the local authorities have provided support and protection, creating favorable conditions for them to build happy families.

At the reception, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai said that Korean investors have poured their money on high-tech and environmentally-friendly projects and hoped that the RoK’s province to introduce more investors in these fields. He also expressed his wishes to promote cooperation with Gyeongnam in education and training.
